Each Ragdoll has made an
important contribution to my breeding program. When the time comes for
them to retire, it is very important to me that they go to a loving and
forever home.
It takes patience and skill to
introduce any adult cat, even a Ragdoll, into a home with other adult
cats. It can be a stressful process for the new owner and all of the
cats. My experience has been that, even starting with the best
intentions, too many people find that they do not have the skills and
patience for a successful introduction. They choose to return the cat
without even beginning to give it the time necessary to adjust.
I am a closed cattery. One of
my responsibilities to my cats is to protect them from
unnecessary risk of disease. A cat who has been in a home with other
cats carries that risk. Once a cat leaves and is exposed to another
cat, it can not return and rejoin its former companions at Villaroyal.
It must be housed alone or immediately placed in yet another
home. This can result in a cat who is stressed and confused. I do not
consider either option acceptable.
Therefore, to ease their transition, and to ensure that I am giving my
adults every possible chance to have their first new home be their
forever home, I place my adults exclusively as only cats or with a new
or existing kitten.
If you would like an adult and if
you DO NOT already have an
ADULT cat in your home (kitten is ok), and if you can
offer a quality environment, I may have the perfect match. All use a
scratching post, have impeccable litter box habits and are in perfect
health. Most are show quality Ragdolls.
The adoption fee is $400.
Shipping, if necessary, by professional courier is $275. West Coast is $400.
I do not ship cats or kittens by themselves as freight
